For 15 years, from the mid 1970's to 1990, I worked in Detroit , Michigan . I watched it descend into the abyss of crime, debauchery, gun play, drugs, school truancy, car-jacking, gangs, and human depravity. I watched entire city blocks burned out. I watched graffiti explode on buildings, cars, trucks, buses, and school yards. Trash everywhere !
Detroiters walked through it, tossed more into it, and ignored it. Tens of thousands, and then hundreds of thousands today exist on federal welfare, free housing, and food stamps !
With Aid to Dependent Children, minority women birthed eight to 10, and in one case, one woman birthed 24 children as reported by the Detroit Free Press, all on American taxpayer dollars.
A new child meant a new car payment, new TV, and whatever mom wanted. I saw Lyndon Baines Johnson's "Great Society" flourish in Detroit . If you give money for doing nothing, you will get more hands out taking money for doing nothing.
Mayor Coleman Young, perhaps the most corrupt mayor in America , outside of Richard Daley in Chicago , rode Detroit down to its knees. He set the benchmark for cronyism, incompetence, and arrogance. As a black man, he said, "I am the MFIC." The IC meant "in charge". You can figure out the rest. Detroit became a majority black city with 67 percent African-Americans.
As a United Van Lines truck driver for my summer job from teaching math and science, I loaded hundreds of American families into my van for a new life in another city or state.
Detroit plummeted from 1.8 million citizens to 912,000 today. At the same time, legal and illegal immigrants converged on the city, so much so, that Muslims number over 300,000. Mexicans number 400,000 throughout Michigan , but most work in Detroit . As the whites moved out, the Muslims moved in.
As the crimes became more violent, the whites fled. Finally, unlawful Mexicans moved in at a torrid pace. Detroit suffers so much shoplifting that grocery stores no longer operate in many inner city locations. You could cut the racial tension in the air with a knife!
Detroit may be one of our best examples of multiculturalism: pure dislike, and total separation from America .
Today, you hear Muslim calls to worship over the city like a new American Baghdad with hundreds of Islamic mosques in Michigan , paid for by Saudi Arabia oil money. High school flunk out rates reached 76 percent last June, according to NBC's Brian Williams. Classrooms resemble more foreign countries than America . English? Few speak it! The city features a 50 percent illiteracy rate and growing. Unemployment hit 28.9 percent in 2009 as the auto industry vacated the city. In this week's Time Magazine October 4, 2009, "The Tragedy of Detroit: How a great city fell, and how it can rise again," I choked on the writer's description of what happened. "If Detroit had been ravaged by a hurricane, and submerged by a ravenous flood, we'd know a lot more about it," said Daniel Okrent. "If drought, and carelessness had spread brush fires across the city, we'd see it on the evening news every night.
Earthquake, tornadoes, you name it, if natural disaster had devastated the city that was once the living proof of American prosperity, the rest of the country might take notice.
But Detroit , once our fourth largest city, now 11th, and slipping rapidly, has had no such luck. Its disaster has long been a slow unwinding that seemed to remove it from the rest of the country. Even the death rattle that in the past year emanated from its signature industry brought more attention to the auto executives than to the people of the city, who had for so long been victimized by their dreadful decision making."
As Coleman Young's corruption brought the city to its knees, no amount of federal dollars could save the incredible payoffs, kick backs, and illegality permeating his administration. I witnessed the city's death from the seat of my 18-wheeler tractor trailer because I moved people out of every sector of decaying Detroit . "By any quantifiable standard, the city is on life support. Detroit 's treasury is $300 million short of the funds needed to provide the barest municipal services," Okrent said. "The school system, which six years ago was compelled by the teachers' union to reject a philanthropist's offer of $200 million to build 15 small, independent charter high schools, is in receivership. The murder rate is soaring, and 7 out of 10 remain unsolved. Three years after Katrina devastated New Orleans , unemployment in that city hit a peak of 11%. In Detroit , the unemployment rate is 28.9%.
That's worth spelling out: twenty-eight point nine percent." At the end of Okrent's report, and he will write a dozen more about Detroit , he said, "That's because the story of Detroit is not simply one of a great city's collapse, it's also about the erosion of the industries that helped build the country we know today. The ultimate fate of Detroit will reveal much about the character of America in the 21st century. If what was once the most prosperous manufacturing city in the nation has been brought to its knees, what does that say about our recent past? And if it can't find a way to get up, what does that say about our future?"
As you read in my book review of Chris Steiner's book, "$20 Per Gallon", the auto industry won't come back. Immigration will keep pouring more, and more uneducated third world immigrants from the Middle East into Detroit , thus creating a beachhead for Islamic hegemony in America . If 50 percent illiteracy continues, we will see more homegrown terrorists spawned out of the Muslim ghettos of Detroit . Illiteracy plus Islam equals walking human bombs.
You have already seen it in Madrid , Spain ; London , England , and Paris , France with train bombings, subway bombings and riots. As their numbers grow, so will their power to enact their barbaric Sharia Law that negates republican forms of government, first amendment rights, and subjugates women to the lowest rungs on the human ladder. We will see more honor killings by upset husbands, fathers, and brothers that demand subjugation by their daughters, sisters and wives. Muslims prefer beheadings of women to scare the hell out of any other members of their sect from straying. Multiculturalism: what a perfect method to kill our language, culture, country, and way of life.

I keep hearing from my Muslim friends and many other Muslim persons that the trouble-causing "Muslims", those that murder, those suicidal killers, those that plan and carry out missions of destruction and warfare, Al-qaida schemers and the like, are not Muslims at all. I keep hearing that! I want to know why they are worshiping in Islamic Mosques? Why are they allowed to? Why are many clerics, Imams, and such promoting such evil in many of those Mosques? How many of those Muslims are not Muslims at all? It would seem a great many. Just how many? What are the real Muslims doing about it?

Now North Korea has a new leader. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this new general took it upon himself to change the way North Korea ran the country...for the better, I mean, for the betterment of its neighbors and humanity. Although this is unlikely since the ideals of the society are brainwashed into the children at a very young age and traditional ways are highly valued in this culture, there have been and are exceptions. It depends on the real moral character of the person, his intelligence and his conscience. Conscience may well be overridden by indelible teachings of communist brainwashing. If that is so, and the new leader refuses to listen to his people and to his heart and conscience, things will not change for the better. Still, one can remember the greatness of Constantine and hope. Sooner or later, our earth must witness more unity or millions will ultimately perish.
Let us hope this new general is not lacking in conscience, merciful feelings, and sympathy for his people. Intelligence is not an asset without the additional presence of those qualities. Hitler proved that...Iran's leadership continues to prove it each day.

When I heard a Muslim comment that the Bible was mostly fairly tales, and when I heard a Muslim say that Muhammad was the ultimate prophet, the prophet that heard the "word" of The God, I was reminded of just how gullible and unthinking some people really are. Whether Jewish, Muslim, Christian, or whatever religion or ideology, the text attributed to the word of The God is far from it. Does it make sense that within a few hundred years there were at least two so called prophets that The God kindly provided mankind and then within the 1400 years since, there have been no "verified" and "authentic" prophets provided by The God? Long time, no see! The fact is this. One culture was envious that The God was said to have sent a Prophet to another culture and they wanted one too. Keeping up with the Jones', one miraculously appeared and a new following was born, a new ideology that would spread throughout our populated lands, even Detroit. That's the magic of believing in something that's not true, anything can happen. (And yet when there is huge amounts of documented proof that something did really happen, some of the same "believers" deny it.) As I write so many times, all that wordy stuff in those "holy" books is needless, except for one line that would enable all to live in much better harmony with one another. No stoning, no cutting off hands, no 1400-year vendettas, less hatred and greed, no envy, far less maiming and murder, and would result in a much great world that The God would appreciate, assuming The God was the creative, loving god we hope for. Again, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." Live by it!

"With so many people that believe, how can so many be wrong?" someone asked me. I've seen how many folks believe in god and trust that their religious beliefs are infallible and beyond doubt. Then again, there are hundreds of variations among all the different religions. How can all be wrong? It is very possible. Most of the people in the world fear snakes and spiders too, but I do not. To me, they are as likeable as birds and cats. Yet, the are feared by the majority, so there is proof enough to me. The majority can be wrong. People believe what they were taught and often they were taught by those who did not know. Ignorance perpetuated! Once in a while, someone comes along that challenges common belief and must learn things for himself and by himself.

I do not feel pity for the poor Frenchies that are striking. It seems stupid that they should protest such a trivial things as raising the age of returment from 60 to 62 if it can save the country from economic disaster. These protestors are pooping in their own nest, causing more problems fro themselves than the government, and are "cutting off their noses to spite their faces". I did not retire until I was 63. Most of us on the USA do not retire until that time or until they are 65. What is two years if it helps your country?
It sometimes takes a little time for the French people to see what's best for them. Meanwhile, no fuel! Trash and garbage on the streets! Transportation nearly at a standstill! Young protestors burning cars! And then there are the new threats by the scum, al-qaeda! C'est la vive!

WHY DOES?
A conversation with a psychologist.. The student asked: "Sir, why do people call other people names all the time?"
"Children often seem cruel and call others names. It is often because they hear their parents and other elders doing the same and they emulate that behavior. Many times, they do not really mean the things they say. Sometimes, children actually like the persons that they target with names and simply do not know how to let their real feelings out.
"But these are adults that call others names all the time."
"When adults behave that way, it is usually much more serious. For some reason, they lack maturity. This may because of repressed feelings of guilt for one of several reasons. Depending on the names they call others, their guilt may be of a sexual nature, of a racial nature, or because they feel they were or are treated unfairly throughout their lives. People that portray such behavior often join hate groups to feel more secure in the presence of others that have similar behavior. They often show agressive behavior to those of other races, to those with sexual or gender preferences different than their own, or even people that are different because of their size, color, or their health conditions.
"These people keep using names like "queer, fag, pedo, and gay."
"All too common I am sorry to say. These people usually are repressing sexual problems instead of addressing them. Perhaps they feel guilt because of their supressed sexual desires or perhaps they had been mistreated when they were young. Sometimes, though, people have held feelings of guilt for no other reason than their parents or older peers were not truthful with them when they were young. This is true with boys and girls. It is common and normal for boys and girls to experiment with other children, of both their own sex and of the opposite sex. This is quite innocent behavior actually, but parents and older peers often are ignorant of that. Scolding children for normal behavior often leaves scars of guilt that last for many years. There was and is no need to feel guilt."

"If they do that, they are exhibiting obsessive-compulsive behavior and need help. Street drugs such as "meth" can harm brain cells and can cause symptoms similar to schizophrenia and paranoia. "Can they ever be normal again?"

Unfortunately, the harm caused by certain street drugs is not completely irreversible. If the problems are feelings of guilt though may be treated by proper psychiatric treatment."

A world gone mad. A world still as mad as ever.
It is nothing new, a world full of madness. People act without thinking of the consequences. French citizens overreacting to their governmental decisions to help their country survive the economical troubles, wars for no reason, rumours of wars, murders of others that happen to think or even look different, the rights of the majority ignored or curtailed by the objections of one person or a very small minority. This happens within the society of the US! One individual protestor had more power than the majority of the people! Madness!
It is nothing new though. Native Americans were lied to and slaughtered by governmental decisions of invading foreigners. That's the way the USA came about. This madness is usually caused by three things; ignorance, greed, and unwarranted feelings of superiority. Today, the members of US congress feel so much superior to the people, so much so that they often vote giving themselves monetary raises while the people struggle to survive a bad economy. They ignore the majority for their own agendas of for the good of a few. Religiously oriented groups that feel they are superior (self-righteous) to others, those that are different than they, murder and maim all over our globe. Governments choose to ignore the threats of global warming and keep buying oil and other fossil fuels that add to the problem. Competition driven by greed is disastrous in the long run. Ignorance is bad enough, but when ignorant persons are so pig-headed that they refuse to accept their ignorance, trouble follows.
No one knows all the answers, but there are too many that do nothing to search for the correct answers and are content with ignorance, instead merely endeavoring to satisfy themselves, the centers of the universe. Thousands of years whiz by, while technology turns out wondrous things each day, but mankind stills remains in a quagmire of ignorance, greed, and unwarranted feelings of superiority.
We are nothing but dust in the wind, borrowing this earth for a very short time. We all must endeavor to take care of it, to improve it, to improve the lives of those who will follow our demise.

Maybe it was to help our nation's economy cope, but did it? Surely it wasn't just to keep the congressman fat and healthy and away from the poorhouse..surely not. The Taliban, may they rest in pieces, left a village and a local road set to kill any and all that were unaware. Kandahar, a hotspot for the deluded Taliban murderers, left homes booby-trapped and left roadside bombs in many places when they evacuated the area. These bombs and traps were meant to kill, indiscriminately, anyone and everyone that were unaware of them. They were removed by US forces and allies after careful searches for them. Most of the local people had left the area earlier and most still do not plan to return.

The Jihadi Confusion
The jihad is really a war within one's own conscience and mind. Each individual must cope with this inner war with right and wrong, obeying conscience or ignoring it. Conscience is something that most have. It makes one feel good or bad, depending on how he behaves. Some attribute conscience to a diety speaking through one's mind, delivering what is right and proper or wrong and improper. This may have some truth, but it is accepted by most scientists that conscience is a result of learned ideals, learned from very early childhood into adulthood.
The jihadist movement is not related to anything that is Godly or even relayed to anything that might be seen as proper to real Muslims. These jihadists have lost the inner battle with themselves, with their consciences. They are losers in that respect and choose to direct their hostilities toward others. They project the blame for their troubles onto others, but they are to blame for their own misery, their own defeat with themselves. Their "holy wars" ended in failure as they did not live as The God wished. Now, they lower themselves even further by projecting their "holy war" onto others. Losers that keep on losing, no matter how many small battles they may win, losing the war.
If one cannot win the jihad within himself, he cannot ever win with The God and with the Children of The God.
These people, just as all gang members, seek refuge and comfort in the company of others with the same problems. Losers feel safe and secure with other losers, but as always, it is a false security.

A man on the street was interviewed by a local reporter.
"Sir?" The reporter caught a glimpse of a bearded man hiding in the darkness of a pit. "Sir, may I ask you a few questions?" The reporter bent down to ger closer as the man lowered his head and covered his face with his hand.
"Just a few questions, sir. How long have you lived like this?"
It seemed the bearded troglodyte was not going to cooperate.
"Are you hungry?" the reporter asked.

"Why are so bitter and you do not even know me?"
"Because your are not me. You are one of them!"
Was this man deranged? From all indication, he seemed so.
"I am merely a reporter for the Herald and I am doing a story on people who have no real home. Please just answer a few questions for me."
"I hate all of you. You had your chance and you messed up. Now go can to hell!"
"What is your name?"
"Get out of here or die!"
"Please sir. What do I call you? What's your name?"
"Al. My name is Al Kyda."
"I can help you, Al. I have money for you."
"Money? I have more money than I can ever spend. I do not need your money."

It seems illogical that people would spend eight days or more heading into a mire, deciding that there must be another way, choosing another leader that would lead them back out of the mire and then changing their minds once again after just a few days wading and heading back. Is this the way to ever get out of the mire, changing directions prematurely, way before they know which is the proper direction to go? Does it seem this midterm election is similar?

There are so many potential people that are willing and ready to delude themselves and follow the ludicrous message of the terrorists.
Typically, we hear and read garbage like this: "How can you tolerate a nation that interferes with our freedoms? How can you tolerate the USA, England and France? They are the ones that persecute Muslims the most! They are responsible for the deaths of thousands! We must be allowed to do whatever we want in our own countires. We should be free to maime and murder our own people as we see fit. We have the right to persecute non-believers, to enslave those less than us, to torture and imprison those that defy us! We have the permission of Allah to do so. We have the direct order from Allah to do so. We have the right to do with women as we wish as they are inferior to men. Our law demands punishment for disobedience. We will inherit the earth!"
Is this the message of the sane? No, but it is typical of the mindset of those that follow al qaeda and others like them. Shall those that are meek (of wisdom and goodness) really inherit the earth?

I have noted that some payments made from the website, LIBERTY RESERVE, seem to disappear in cyberspace, leaving the sender without their funds, but somehow not being acknowledged by those to whom the payments were sent. BEWARE!!
One online investment site, Incapital.biz, was paid through Liberty Reserve for a position in an investment plan. The payment was sent from Liberty Reserve, the batch number recorded, and yet Incapital.biz did not credit its member with any deposit, just as if the money disappeared in cyberspace! Does that sound legit? The member inquired several times to Incapital.biz and asked for the account to be credited with thefunds sent from Liberty Reserve. No replies!!! The funds are gone from Liberty Reserve, but ended up "who knows where?" Likely, Incapital.biz has received the funds. What's that tell you?
I will post any updates or news about this as I receive it. Meanwhile, I would avoid both LibertyReserve.com and Incapital.biz. Liberty Reserve cannot or will not return funds once they have been sent, even to a company or person that is fraudulent. UPDATE: New email from Incapital.biz explained: "..sorry for late reply, we had a system error and now we need to book manually. So we will do it soon ! Sorry for delay."
When it has been verified, we shall delete this comment regarding Liberty Reserve and Incapital.biz as they will have provided proof of their dedication for honesty.
Update: A new email from Incapital.biz arrived on November 10. 2010. It stated that iof someone had added funds while the site was having trouble, his funds would be added tio his account very soon.
So far, no funds have been added and the bewildered party is still waiting patiently for the funds sent from Liberty Reserve to be acknowledged.
Update, NOV 14: No sign of the payment made to Incapital.biz shows in the account yet. The account is checked daily and only the original first payment has been acknowledged. The second payment (investment) does not show at all and all inquiries have been in vain.
Update, Nov 18: No sign of payment made to Incapital.biz account. It seems that no one is monitoring the Netherlands'investment' site, but that site is running on software program only. No inquiry replies. Money seems lost. Scam is suspected.

Oh yes, I look at the vast beauty of this earth, the sunsets, the canyons and mountains, the beautiful animals, the gorgeous seas, oceans, lakes and streams, the faces of healthy, happy children, and the endless universe, and I believe there is a god. The CEOs or store officials that provide these gift cards for sale are not thinking very clearly, however. As it is, when one buys a $100 gift card, it is worth $100 only. A $25 gift card is worth only $25. They are nice to give people for Christmas presents or other celebrations. The best way to sell more of them though is to make them more desirable. The best way to make them more desirable is to offer $100 gift cards for $80 and $25 gift cards for $20 and so on. The peoples' overall opinions are all to often very slow to change and are all too often based on inuendo and folklore. Witchcraft was a common belief not long ago and people rallied to rid their neighborhoods of witches. Suprisingly, there were several witches named and persecuted per population number. Then, there were the lies, inuendo and false notions regarding American Indians, Jews, homosexuals, Chinese immigrant workers, blacks, and latinos. Unfortunately, the English descendants are much more slow to change than those of other cultures, but there are exceptions due to certain religions and ideologies.
Some traditional beliefs are very very slow to change. The majority of the people seem to wish to stay ignorant about certain issues. Remember the stories about AIDS? Remember Ryan WHite? Folklore is alive and well in our cultures and ignorance keeps it alive. Refusal to be open-minded, refusal to learn the truth, contentment to remain ignorant, perpetuates the false beliefs that seemed endeared to our society.
Some things can change for the better over long periods of time if the media is open minded and does not play the "ignorance" game also.
How many to this day hate spiders and snakes even though they fulfill a great purpose on our earth and for the benefit of our lives.

I heard on the radio this morning these words regarding the Taliban and the likely intentions of negotiating with them. "We can give life or and we can take life," was the sentence I remember. It is wrong, but it represents the way many of the Muslims think, especially those that are follow the misinterpretation of jihad.
The statement should correctly be, "We can choose not to take a life or we can take a life." No one but The God can give life, no matter how gifted they think they are. It is seldom the actual events that control our lives and aspects of our lives as much as the media coverage, often opinionated, that have the most influence. News is all too often biased and manipulative and does not always state the facts as they are, but as certain people see them. Bad news, exaggerated and opinionative, can makes investers panic, bring out the worst in people that are susceptible, turn neighbors against neighbors, and make our world policies seem destined to fail.
Our own internal self-conflicts, our jihads, are subject to vulnerabilties. It is these internal conflicts that lead to blaming others for the problems that are within ourselves. People find it very difficult to admit that their problems are caused by themselves, their own shortcomings, their biases, the lack of knowledge, and the faults of the ideologies they have chosen to adopt. It is so much easier and convenient to blame others, other ideologies, governments, religious organizations, and ethnologies than to blame those who are really to blame.
The media is often a hinderance rather than a helpful thing, but most imprtantly, media reports provide a rather nice way for news-leaks, true or false, to "legally" manipulate the markets.

The words of a columnist by the name of Al Jones: "..And where does Mr. Pistole's argument end? If a little touching ensures our safety, wouldn't a cavity search ensure it further? He seems to think that a little touching compares to rape, murder and terrorism in general, even if this rather innocent touching is for the prevention of real terrorist activity aboard a plane, activity that might result in the death of hundreds or more. It was a typical redneck-type response to a the preventative search techniques adopted by the TSA. A little touching is not molesting, but some folks like to label everything and categorize everything into just a few boxes.
Perhaps these people protesting have something to hide, perhaps they are thinking opnly of themselves, as most do. Perhaps, as Al Lewis, mentioned, we should all fly naked. Good idea and it would indeed stop the need for pat-downs.
Making mountains from mole-hills seems to be a popular trend amongst protesters and some columnists these days. Media will assist I am sure. All the media have helped ensure the defamation of many already and have been responsible for the altering of many words listed in our dictionaries.
A child searched at the airport? Big deal. I am certain the child didn't mind at all. The only persons that would mind are those who stand watching and wishing they were doing the searching instead...or that terrified someone who had hidden something illegal on the child. When someone is so selfish that he protests short bodily searches that might save the lives of hundreds of men, women and children, something is wrong with that person.
Until a better solution is presented, similar or better than flying in the nude, get used to this "search and scan" one or start rowing.
I do believe that these same people that are complaining the most would change their minds when actually confronted by a deadly terrorist situation on board a plane in flight. Then, "I just don't think it's worth getting scanned and patted down every time I fly!" might change to, "How did these evil bastards ever get aboard this plane with their weapons? How?"

Suddenly on an open highway, the bus was attacked by two men on motorcycles. They were intent on killing one of the convect passengers. What did the bud driver do? He drives down the center of the highway and radios for help. Wow! If I were driving a huge bus, there would no cycle run me off the road. In the movie, a bus vs. 2 motorcycles: bus loses and turns over in the road. Do the producers ever think about these things?

WORDS and those who have no clue.
I suppose every one of us misuses a word now and then, but people in the USA are becoming notorious for the destruction of words, their meaning and their beauty.
The use of texting adds to the misuse of our words, using shortcuts such as "U" for you, "LOL" for laugh out loud, and even "C" for the word, see. One can understand this to a degree, but there are those who rely on texting shortcuts so much that they are not even learning or attempting to learn proper the spelling and proper meanings of words. How often does one see "alot" as in "I use it a lot"? Will this word be added to our dictionaries soon? I have already discussed many of the misused words before and how some people simply throw in a word without ever knowing what it really means. Ignorance will prevail as if that were a character trait we should proudly accept. Moot is another word that has more than one meaning, Many people use it only in the "law" context, something that there's no use to discuss any further as it is already established by some precedent. In reality,other than in law, it means quite the opposite; something that is in need of further argument or discussion. It's no wonder many people are confused throughout their lives
On TV shows, I have seen the actors that portray FBI agents use words inappropriately and disgustingly. Remember the word, bibliophile? It should mean one that loves books or a collector of books and to those who are familiar with that word, it does mean exactly that. Audiophile means one who loves or collects music. There should be a word for one who loves old folks, and a word for one who loves dogs or cats or horses. Perhaps "caninophile" for dog lovers would suffice. Perhaps "geriaphile" for one who loves old folks. Perhaps "felinophile" for one who loves cats. "Equusophile" might be coined to be a lover of horses.
Necrophile means someone who is attracted to dead people, I believe. Hemophile? I don't understand how that relates. Pedophile means "someone who loves children", but has been also used to mean, "Someone who is sexually attracted to children," (psycho-pathological meaning). It seems most have adopted the last meaning for the word and some people misuse the word to mean a "predator".
On the movie, the FBI agent referred to man who was thought to be predator and said, "He's a pedophile. He could just get another child" or close to that phrase anyway. It was like saying, "He's black. He can steal another car." It would not suprise me that due to the oversimplification of modern dictionaries and the lack of word-knowledge by the majority that the word-description will eventually devolve into "one who abducts and murders children". Some words end up this way; two meanings that are quite the opposite of each other. As I have stated, "moot" is one of those. Moot can mean, "a subject that requires no further discussion because it is established as precendent" and it may mean "subject that requires further discussion". Which meaning do most use? As the original meaning of pedophile meant "love for children", most people on this earth should qualify with that meaning. If any cannot appreciate the wondrous majestic beauty of youth, it is they who should be mistrusted, and not those who do.
People love to call other names and label everything for their convenience. Ignorance prevails.
If someone means predator, he should use that word. If someone means "someone who loves children," then he should be careful which word and which meaning he uses. There are a great many that love children and do not abuse them. There are a great many that may be attracted to children but are not predators. The fact is that anyone who hurts a child is likely one who does not love children.
The dictionaries of more recent times were far less comprehensive and detailed than some of years before. It would seem that many definitions were abandoned over the years and only certain ones chosen to represent the words therein. Evolution of our language is more devolution. In one dictionary of Webster, a book with over 3200 pages, one can see the complete definitions of most words, not simply one or two hand-picked ones.
Note definition number 1. Later versions of dictionaries often included no definiton for pedophile at all, perhaps because it may have been the subject of debate at the time. When it was included in later versions, one definition was usually cited. That is the one that seemed more popular to society, not because of its accuracy, but because of the preference of society to adopt words that are more malicious, ones that might be used for labeling and name-calling. Used they has been! Misused by multitudes, pedophile has become almost a synonym for predator and wrongfully so. Many words have gone through this definition mutilation throughout the years. "Love + children". Whether men or women, loving instead of hating children would surely be the more righteous choice.
For those religious people to love to demonstrate their objections to love, this drawing is likely exactly as it was when Jesus was here.

There are plenty of these people that do not love children. Perhaps is they who should be seen with scorn. People that have more hate in them than love are the dangerous people and those people are all-too-often the ones that do the most name-calling. They are the ones who are most often the ignorant members of our society and rather than adjust or better themselves, they try to bring others down to their level. Will ignorance prevail?
It is wrongly assumed that sexual predators are men and not women. As the word pedophile is wrongly used to mean sexual predator, people seem to disregard the fact that men can love children also. It is not only women who have the ability to have a natural love for children, yet many people seem to assume that any love of men for children must be "unnatural, which is another obcure and wrongly used word. Most people do not have a clue of what is natural and what is not natural. Women, as relating to children, can be just as abusive as men, and men can be just as loving as women. What is very natural for many is often labeled "unnatural" by many others.
The meaning of words seem to be everchanging and seem to reflect the contemporary mindset of society. Perhaps the word love, a word that is also misused so much, will soon mean one thing only; sex.

Classified government information that was shown on the internet could instill bad relations between the USA and leaders of other countries. Criminal charges may follow since this information was publicized. One particular bit of information was regarding a Saudi Arabian official and the threat of Iran's nuclear program. Naturally, Iran's President Ahmadinejad said it was just Western propaganda and he didn't believe it at all, but as we all know, President Ahmadinejad has a problem believing anything that is the truth.

Dish Network is one of the largest PAY providers for satellite television channels. Their satellites constantly irradiate our properties and homes and our bodies with signals. Do we have a choice about that? No. The only choce we have is whether to pay them their high fees to use those signals, which are scrambled, to view various TV channels they provide. It is not right that they should invade our personal space with signals and then charge us so much to use those signals. Not only do they charge us, they use small print trickery to decieve potential customers into signing contracts and after so many months of limited rates, the rates increase considerably for the remainder of the 24 month contract. Dish Network has recently been part of sting operation, going after and being responsible for the arrest of alternative receiver makers that makde it possible to view FTA and some other channels that DN offered. These receivers were not cheap and only worked part of the time, but they offered an alternative to the Dish Network scam. What is in our personal yards and on our property should be OURS to do with as we please. This means using the satellite signals bombarding us constantly. This means using alternative receivers to decode the scrambled signals and view the TV channels that resulted.
The law and those who judge the fairness of the law should side with the people in this matter. If they do not, you can bet they were compensated by BIG SATELLITE companies such as DN and Direct TV.
When will we be charged for sunlight and air when some company insists that one of their satellites makes both more pure?
Free TV is on its way out. I hope DISH NETWORK, as long as they operate as they are, will be on their way out too. Perhaps the newer systems will drive them out of business before long or worry them enough to drive their prices down.
Until then, I hope the judges refrain from awarding the satellite TV companies priority over FTA and alternative receiver makers. Judges, force DISH NETWORK and DIRECT TV to keep their signals from invading our privacy, our yards and our bodies.

It is now evident that the FEDS can track credit cards of Americans.

It is questionable whether or not "probable causes" are really probable in many cases. Many times, these "probable" causes are merely contrived from wee and minute suspicions, and yet those investigated pay heavily as their homes are ransacked, personal items damaged and items taken (stolen) and never returned.
This used to be a different country, a country where we could enjoy our pursuits of happiness, where a man's home was his castle, and where the police were there to help good citizens.
Now, it seems, everyone is a suspect and everyone is spied upon and treated as guilty until enough proof of innocence turns up. Even then, the damage has been done already.
Citizens that just want to have a home, work, pursue what happiness they can and pay their taxes are prime candidates for search and seizure, and yet gang-members carry automatic weapons and pursue real criminal activities under the noses of law enforcement.

WE ARE IN TROUBLE!
The facts that the USA owes more than it can ever pay, and the fact that some are not even accepting the US dollar for goods any longer, combined with the reluctance of the Republicans to ever side with the Democrats ragarding just about everything and vise versa, we are heading for disaster; you and I and all of the US. Congressional and House "tribalism" is not constructive and there seems to be no way to vote in people who are wise and knowledgeable about the proper way to solve our problems of debt, unemployment and the continuing lack of world-faith in our dollar.
Dumbly and blindly, the US simply prints more paper money. Imagine playing Monopoly with friends and when you are about to lose the game, you bring out your freshly printed stacks of Monopoly money so you can keep playing. There's is a slight chance you might win, but playing the way you have been playing, that is unlikely. You will only keep intimidating the other players until they refuse to play with you at all. Now if you had brought out your gold and traded it for someone else's paper, that might be a better way.
The best way is to pay off all you owe as soon as possible and the save face with all the other players, but conflicts of tribalism within the government and lack of knowledge, aka ignorance, makes this alternative impossible. What's left? The people should prepare for the worst and hope for the best: arm yourselves, have plenty of food and water available for your use, store away precious metals instead of paper, keep what land you have and try to gain more. Most of all, the next time you vote, vote for someone who really has knowledge and who is determined to do what is right and proper, and most of all, one who is not influenced or controlled by tribalism. It may be too late for the voting aspect, but it's not too late for cleaning house and impeachment.

This is another story that demonstrates the intitial lame way that the armed service leaders think. It used to be that there were two reasons why "gay" persons were not allowed into the services. The given excuses were "homosexuality was unnatural and not up to the American standard" and "homosexuals are targets for blackmailing and may be forced into situations that would betray their country and endanger the lives of others."
Well, now, some are thinking up new reasons, even though the majority of the servicemen polled are not against gays openly being a part of the military.
Gays are no different than any others, except they happen to be capable of loving a person of their same sex. The abilities, the talents and the intelligences of gays are no lower than the average heterosexual men. Many are much more capable than the average serviceman. Some leaders that are attached at their hips to their ancient religious notions still refuse to accept gays. That is unwise. That is rather retarded.

The new exhibit of art at the Smithsonian have upset some people who were not aware of reality, obviously. Nothing exhibited at the museum was wrose than what people imagine and dream of at one time or another, but some people feel obligated to bitch about art that relates to sex in any way. Whines and screams are the reactions that people without clues of reality usually demonstrate. Behind their own closed doors, they are quite different. Freedom means freedom to choose not to visit the museum to view the art. It also means that the art can be exhibited!

It makes me cringe to see how pious many Muslims are, so blindly dedicated to their own beliefs, right or wrong, that they have no room in their world for the beliefs of others. Yet, a few hundred years ago there were others of the Christian faith that exhibited such biased and irrational behavior. They were on the hunt for witches, attributing strange and unusual traits and habits of people to witchcraft or Satan's influences. Many people were burned at the stake or killed while being "tested" for witchery. Those tests were ridiculous. Many times the alledged witches had to die to prove to the accusers that they were innocent. The Puritan way of life was cruel to many, but people believed they were doing what was righteous. Sound familiar? Later, it was realized that it was these righteous folk that were doing the work of Satan. Does it seem like it is happening again? It is. Too many so brainwashed, so embedded in their tribal religious and tribal customary beliefs that they could never recognize right from wrong again. They only choose to see themselves as righteous and cannot see themselves for what they are or see themselves as serving an evil master.
Will it takes another 300 years for the blind to see that a god of decency or a god of creation would not condone murder? Perhaps. Simply because The God does absolutely nothing to stop their murderous and biased actions of destruction, they keep doing it. They are afraid to change, afraid to see truth, afraid to even consider reality and very afraid of anyone that does not believe in or play their part in their fairy-tale.
It is not witches, but non-Muslims that they hunt and wish to destroy. There are exceptions among Muslims and those exceptions are often targeted as well. It is a matter of how many good compared to the bad and how powerful the bad compared to the good. It is matter of time until the bad will either self-destruct or ruin God's creation, our world, forever. If and when The God decides to take action of some kind, there shall be quite a surprise in store for many of the "believers".
Many nations, many people are becoming bored of the actions of the radicals and becoming very aggravated at all Muslims for not doing more to police their ideologies. People are becoming more skeptical, more suspicious, and more intolerant of radical Muslims and perhaps Islam in general.
Something must happen and it will happen. Again, it is merely a matter of time before only a minority of non-Muslim people will trust anyone that follows Islam, radical or not. It is time for the good side of Islam to make its presence felt, to outweigh the radical and cruel side that most people are seeing throughout the world. Uganda has shown it has a great share of ignorance. There is a bill proposed to the Ugandan congress that will make homosexuality a criminal offense punishable by death! Not only that, anyone who does not report a homesexual to the authorities would be a criminalas well. Witch-hunts are not things of the past!! I believe the actual statement was, "..any carnal knowledge that is different than the natural order". Ha! If this were not so threatening to the lives of good people, it would be comical. What do these officials know of the "natural" order? They obviously are not very observant of animals, which may account for their total ignorance of "natural" order. If they had spent a little time on the farm or in the country instead of wherever they stay, maybe they would see that the "natural" order is not simply male/female. (What is natural for one is not always natural for another)
One would think that in Africa, the people would be more aware of the natural order of animals, a family of which we all are. Those in Africa would seem to be much closer to wild animals than many of us. Interpret that statement as you will.
The conclusion is that the influence of religion bears more on their decisions than the real acts of nature or the influence of nature. Is nescience a part of the "natural order" in Uganda? It is amazing how some people become instant experts in subjects of which they know very little. When some youngsters feel so alienated from society and feel so different that they contemplate suicide, they are usually not getting the love and understanding from their parents, Parents that have no idea of what is normal for adolescents can only pass on their own misconceptions to their children. With all the books, with all the studies that have been done by people such as Kinsey, there is no excuse for such parental ignorance these days. There is no reason children should be suicidal if their parents and peers are knowledgeable and caring. I wonder what Uganda's future will be in ten years.

. One would do well by mentally imagining himself in another's shoes for a moment, or in this case, another's sexuality. A perfect heterosexual man for instance should imagine himself in a world where he was not allowed to love women, to have love relations or sexual relations with women, and to so do would be against the laws and even the morals of the majority of the people in the world. How would it be? If one takes the time to think this way, to consider others, the positions and the feelings of other, we would be better off. People are not all cut from the same cloth and are not all clones. What should make life wonderful is the fact that each person is different than all others. When any one of us is DENIED the right to love, it hurts, and it will end up hurting all.
Religion can be a good thing, but when someone uses religious text to outweigh logic and wisdom, it is not good. There is no proof that any religious text was written by The God. All was written by mere men and only attributed to THE GOD, a moot point that needs further discussion. Thousands of atrocities have been committed by people who chose some religious text and acted on that text. Burnings at the stake, hangings, wars, personal attacks, and more atrocities have been committed in the name of religion by people who thought they were doing the proper thing according to the word of The God.
People have the right to love whom they will. They have the right to be loved. If there is mutual consent, they have the right to more than love. If these rights are denied, people suffer and our lives and our world cannot be the better for it. Let The God Himself, be our judge.

The green approach to the new vehicles is a start, but considering only about 1% of the US population can afford a new Volt or a new Leaf, the impact on our environment will be extremely small. The direction away from fossil fuels is admirable, but the prices will be the great barrier that will nip the efforts in the bud.
The cars of the future must be both green and affordable by many more people. Hydrogen as a fuel will be the final answer and it must be made affordable, plentiful and adapted to vehicles for the common man, not just the filthy rich. I anticipate that vehicles using fossil fuels will be on our roads for another fifty years at least. If a hydrogen-powered vehicle is designed and produced and for sale for an affordable price be all, then the trend for green will be successful.
If we listen to many of the skeptics, we hear, "what if we get caught in a long delay on an interstate and our battery goes dead?". The way around that is to have a spare battery. If one can afford the electric car, he can afford a spare battery. Remember, the savings on fuel will actually pay for the car over 18 to 25 years.
The government had managed to get the US so far in debt that it may never get out of debt, but instead, must default on the majority of the debt. It is all about money and greed and profit and the major auto makers must follow suit in order to survive, so it is unlikely that prices of the new line of green vehicles will ever be affordable by anyone but the rich.
There is a chance that a new auto-maker will rise to power by producing an affordable hydrogen-powered vehicle. The Volkswagen was a "car of the people" when it first emerged in Germany. What will the new green "car of the people" be and when will we see it produced?

I have personally witnessed how careless certain judges can be about issuing warrants without due cause and how negligently and deviously lawmen pursue their "mark" afterwards. Dec 30, 2010: A man's best friend, his dog, which happened to be a famous diving dog with high international ratings, was killed by one of his neighbors when the dog got loose and strayed onto the neighbor's property. The vicious neighbor shot the dog six times in the head and was not arrested. Scum such as that should be arrested and their hands removed at their wrists in my opinion. One can form a great bond with his dog and when some lowlife hurts or kills either the owner or the dog, it hurts both. These dog-killers and dog-fight promoters must be punished, whatever it takes. I have one dog-killing family next to me. I personally know of 2 dogs they have shot, one Doberman killed and one of my dogs wounded. In the last year, two other dogs have been killed or disappeared. One was shot in the gut with a small calibre rifle and died overnight. Both belonged to another close neighbor.
The killer showed no remorse for killing the man's dog.
If the law does nothing to address these legalized murders of people's wonderful pets, someone else must.

What makes a radical extremist terrorist different than many other people that seek to follow Islam? The basic difference is that those who would lower themselves to commit murder and suicide are those who have no peace of mind. They are envious of those who do have peace of mind or those who seem to. They are envious of those with real power, of those who have freedom, of those who seem to have "the grace of God" working in their favor and in many cases, they are bitter because they cannot succeed in having those things of which they are envious. The cowards join with others that also have the "sour grapes" complex and cannot cope with improving themselves to a higher spiritual plane. This is not to say that many of these radicals are not intelligent. Intelligence never guarantees peace of mind, nor does it guarantee financial success or seats of power. Luck as well as hard work and dedication are factors as well.
Daily ritualistic worship means nothing if one is not worthy to be heard, and to be heard by God one must be dedicated to the miracle of life that He has bestowed upon man and other creatures. Destruction of life is only for He who has created that Life and not for mere men to take upon themselves in His name. To do so is to mock The God, to spit into the face of God and time shall prove it to be so.
There is nothing godly about terror or terrorism and those who follow that path and inflict terror on others are doomed.
Many of them know that and many of them have chosen to destroy themselves for that reason, but to destroy another life while doing so, is a sin a thousand times worse than suicide.

The books of Mark Twain are being rewritten to be socially correct for today's world! Mark Twain has included the "N" word several times in his books and now they are considered unacceptable by some. Not only will this increase the threat from Iran, but the proposed agenda would be devastating for all those Iraqis who are not Shiite.
Who dreamed up this nightmare? Is it true? Only time can tell, but it is better for everyone concerned to take precautions now. If there is any truth to it, al-Sadr should be considered a traitor, not some respected religious/political figure. "If it smells like a fish, it may be a fish."

Their "faith" in God is also used as a deception and because many people want to be true to their faith simply because they were groomed that way from birth, they trust those that are deceiving them. It is among these blinded followers that the terror-mongers recruit suicide bombers and other potential terrorists.
Saudi Arabia, among other states and nations, have powerful covert allies that provide the financial means to support the undermining of democracy and freedom.
It it in the blood after centuries of wars, tribal rivalries, and greedy power struggles? Some think so. Some think the same about the Roma; all born to be dishonest thieves. I do not believe that. I believe that habit and improper education play the major role. Fear and pessimism help perpetuate the environment that supports deception and terror.
It is natural for one to mistrust those who come into their midst from another nation, but time should have taught many that there was no reason to keep distrusting the US and the coalition forces. Murder is always an act of a murderer, a heartless, evil person who has been possessed by evil notions, a being who strives for glory out of greed and selfishness, gullible and usually self-righteous. WATER, WATER !
As many know already, we on earth will be facing water shortages an many more places in the coming years. Some countries have already turned to desalination plants. More countries will need to follow their lead as population and weather conditions change. At the same time, many countries are building or planning to build many more nuclear facilities, all which rely on a dependable source of water for cooling. This will be a reason for worry unless nuclear facilities are located very near oceans, as ocean water are predicted to rise over the next 50 years. Nature pretty much takes care of most water contamination over time, but during that time contaminated water may takes it toll on peoples' health. In many cases, underground chemicals keep contaminating fresh water for many, many years although efforts to clean up the sources of contamination have already been done.
A solution, the ultimate solution for fuel as well, is the use of hydrogen-powered vehicles since nothing but water is released through the exhaust. WHat's the holdup on hydrogen-powered vehicles? Who knows? Big oil may have something to do with that. The technology is already here and is has been shown that vehicles can run on hydrogen that may be safely stored or produced aboard vehicles. An alloy of aluminum and another element create hydrogen whenever water contacts it. That was found by accident in an Indiana university lab.
Hydrogen can be stored in small pellets and released as needed. Hydrogen may be produced by electrolysis and also by the tremendous heat of nuclear reactors. The problem with the later method as that radioactive iodine is present in the water produced by the combustion of that hydrogen. We must address the water-problems soon. The solutions will be found, but when?

Killing "infidels" is crude, inhuman, an act of cowards, and not what God intends. "If any violence is ever needed, God should be quite capable of delivering it Himself." The "jihad" escalation is based on a greed for power and by a misunderstood or terrible interpretation of religious text. The text that seems to warrant the murder of "infidels" is much like Adolf Hitler would contrive. It is only out of fear that people would lower themselves to such an act as murdering those that do not believe the same as they. Any wise person would realize that any true God of our creation would not condone such acts. It is as if the jihadist know there is no capable God at all and they must take His place. They have a great shock coming either way. They either day worthless deaths after worthless lives or they shall face eternal torment for their devious acts. There shall be no rewards in any "paradise". Would anyone reward a neighbor for killing their precious and beloved dog? Doubtful! ..and the owner did not create that dog, but loved it dearly. God both created and loves humans as well as all other animals, so the story goes. If that is true, would He relish in seeing any destroyed by some self-righteous hypocrites in an act of jihad?
Jihadists think, but they do not think enough. Their mind has been altered by years of indoctrination based on false notions. Some seem to act as if there were some mass hypnosis behind their reasoning.
Another curious notion that seems skeptical to those who have the power to love is "one who mocks Islam must die". Is that not convenient? Sounds as though AdolfHitler himself might have ordered the same command about the Third Reich which was certainly not a religion though some followed ithat ideology religiously.

Fire is both a friend an an enemy. Everything can be used wrongly and be bad or can be good. It is often moderation that makes the difference, but not always. Drugs may be very helpful or they may be very harmful. Likewise, doctors can cure and they can cause death. The sun itself enables life on earth but can destroy us as well. Weather as all know can be wonderful or detrimental. What cannot be both bad and food, depending on circumstances. Law? It can help and it can harm. The same is true for politics, razors, guns, knives, chemicals, plastic wrap, and even milk. The smallest virus and the smallest of germs may be deadly, but they may be used for or vaccinations and for immunity as well. Each and every thing on earth is capable of good or harm, and man is no different. Too much of anything may be harmful and usually is so. Religion follows that natural law. Sex, love, hate; they can be both good and harmful. Work, as important as it is to all mankind, can also be a killer. The air we breathe is a necessity and yet it can be one's ruination. All things are this way. I can think of nothing that is not. Pornography, one person stated, is something that cannot be good. I disagreed. If it relieves one's sexual stress or tensions and allows that person to function without risk to others, it may not be harmful. It may or may not become habitual. If it does, then it may become harmful for that person. For that matter, half of the shows people view on TV are seldom any more pure and acceptable than what some people call pornography, and television itself may become habitual. Talk may be either bad or good. Health, body weight, excercise, what we drink, what we eat, what we do not eat, all may be either bad or good. Yes, even war may be bad or good, just as death may be bad or good. The choices we make each day may be bad or good. All should decide what is good and bad for not only themsleves and hopefully choose what it good for them, but at the same time, consider how others will be affected by their choices.
I. personally, see no good in outright murder for the sake of one's religious or political beliefs, even for the murderers. Evidently some think otherwise. Perhaps the only good there is awakening the rest of the world to the ridiculous and devious nature of certain groups of people.

Yes, many drugs should be legalized and regulated!
I am not a drug user. I seldom take even an aspirin, but I agree with those that say many now-illegal drugs should be legalized and regulated. It seems that many people in the US never seem to see the real problems, but instead, just casually assume all problems may be solved by contriving a law and jailing more and more offenders. Well, that is not the answer. Back in the days of liquor prohibition, making booze illegal only succeeded in making criminals rich. Al Capone came to power providing bootleg liquor. When people want something and the law says "can't have it", a black market, an underground market is created. Of course, that lets the underground criminals make bundles supplying the new user criminals with what they wanted. Prohibition did not work! The same is true now. Prohibition is not working. It is merely making money for criminals. It is creating way too many user "criminals" and it is costing citizen taxpayers one hell of a lot to pay for them.
If drugs were legalized, they could be regulated. What's more, the prices could be regulated and instead of the people paying out more for prisons full of prisoners, the government could be making a profit. Underground dealers would be hardpressed to compete with the legal providers. The drugs would be much safer too and not brewed on someone's garage.
Would I begin taking drugs if they were legalized? No way! I've spent years without them and I will spends many more years without them. Will more kids begin taking drugs? Likely less will. Many kids like experiment with things just because they are illicit. Alcohol has been around a long time now. It is regulated. Sure, there are still problems because of some missuses, but none like when it was prohibited about 70 years before.
Just think about it. I mean really think it through. Some countries are way ahead of us. Must we try to present such a good image to the world when the world sees everything the way it really is?

January 21, 2011: Shares of Apple fell today on news that Apple was producing the new iPhone4 with special screws to help prevent users from accessing the inside to make repairs themselves. What's the big deal about that! Makers of electronic devices have been doing that for years. I must have several types of screwdrivers on hand for several types of screws. Even the auto-makers began using screws other than slotted screws and Phillips screws.
Again, it's much ado about nothing, but it does make Apple stock a very good buy at just under $327/share. It's only going to bounce back and increase in value, so buy on this low if you can.

There are many things wrong with medicare, insurance, state assistance, etc.
This is just an example of one thing. A man had state federal assistance and state assistance in his healthcare one time. He wished to have 4 small moles removed before they might grow into something worse. Normally, a local doctor would removed up to 5 of them for less than $70, but since this man had assistance through a program that paid over 90& of the cost, he decided to use it. He had to go to the recommended services and doctors for the procedure. The appointment was made and the whole procedure took all of 14 minutes. He used his card to prove he was on the program. Then he lefr. Later, when he received the bill for this procedure, his copay was around $135 while the whole cost was over $1350.00. That was for 14 minutes!
Why? The medicare is getting ripped off and that means we are getting ripped off! Even the insurance companies do not complain about the extreme charges, so what does that say about this extreme cost? The insurance companies simply pass the cost along to us, the policy-holders. Costs of insurance become higher and higher each year because of the complacency of the insurance companies, the greed of the doctors and the ignorance of the lawmakers. The lawmakers? Perhaps they are benefitting from the scams. I would not be at all surprised that some state personnel are getting kickbacks also and that is why certain doctors are recommended. The system needs treated at the roots!

What's happening in Egypt?
Perhaps the young people of our world are just becoming disgusted and frustrated with regimes. Egypt for now, but other major protests will follow before long. Other regimes will fall as young people pool their resources and steel themselves to whatever immediate consequences may come. They know it's time for change, for more freedom, not only for them, but for the future of their children and for the good of our entire world.
Something else that weighs on the minds and consciences of millions throughout our world is that many innocent people are dying by evil human vermin who murder in the name of their god. They murder their own brethren each day and they murder children and women as well as men. They profess that their religion justifies it and with an act of suicide whereupon another is killed, the murderer is guaranteed a home in paradise. People are tired of murder. They are tired of evil clerics operating within the world of Islam for the benefit of a Satanic agenda. They are tired of being seen as possible terrorists themselves and sharing the blame with the deluded jihadists. They realize that eventually, unless the evil within the name of Islam ends, that a great confrontation will occur and that hundreds of thousands will die because of they either are of Islam or are not of Islam. They know that no Creator condones acts of murder and they know that suicide while killing another cannot ever be the act of a martyr, but merely the act of a murderer. They know that both suicide and murder are against the laws of God and are only the acts condoned by evil clerics striving for power. They know that hate hurts not only those who are hated, but also destroys those who hate.
Jihad, like many other words, is one that has been falsely interpreted and is misused. It is not a holy war against infidels, but a holy war against one's own mentality, and the "jihadists" are losing that war. They shall never find paradise, but only eternal death and hopefully some extreme punitive measures as well.
Now is the time for protests, not only for women's rights, fair treatment, human rights, justice, and freedom from evil regimes, but also for rethinking the policies of certain religions and certain governments that cannot seem to separate themselves from religion.
Remember that it is better to regard "infidels" as just ignorant than to regard them as enemies. "Infidels" can regard "believers" the same way. There is no reason for murder. God may well indeed be good, but to yell "Allah akbar" before committing ultimate atrocities upon His creations will never excuse the sins in His eyes. That only makes the evil criminal an evil hypocrite as well.
There were martyrs, many of them, but not even one of them was a jihadist. A true martyr is one that tried to save lives, one that has coincidently lost his own life in an attempt to save the life or lives of others, a noble deed that The Creator appreciates. Those who sacrificed themselves to kill, to destroy life indiscriminantly, whether to serve some cleric's agenda or serve their own, were no martyrs, but only the lowest of thieves.
These countries whose people are tired of the existing regimes must use great caution. There is a very evil lot of people that think of themselves as of Islam and they continue to try gaining footholds wherever there is unrest and weakness. Unless the people wish to become puppets of some radical Islamic regime, they must choose their new leaders well carefully and be ready to take action if their choices prove to be wrong. Tunisia has come a long way toward equality and freedom. We must hope it does not lose ground now.

The past always holds explicit views of mens' struggles to cope with problems of the times, but also glimpses into the mindset of people of that time, and the morals they adopted and seemed to have highly prized as their own. As with Oscar Wilde and the trials that darkened many of his days and threatened to be the ruin of his career and the memory of him, the forces that contributed to the scandal are still with us today. These would be no threat to Oscar Wilde if he were alive today, as concepts have evolved and changed. Yet, the crude suspicions that some persons hold so dear are still working to hurt others and to soil their images. Some delight in trying to bring others down only to make themselves appear better. Instead of bettering themselves by education, by enlightenment and by artistic endeavors, they rely on attempting to ridicule others and stay on their lowly planes of mere existance. Why? Many or so plain that they have no understanding of artists or any willingness to understand them. Such was the case with Oscar Wilde. Such is the case with many now.
How can people understand those who see beauty when they themselves cannot see the beauty themselves? Their eyes see only what they have learned to see and what they choose to see and they are quite content. Even if they endeavored to understand people with high artistic ability, they likely could not. They only see the what these artists produce and either like it or dislike it and seldom do they know the reasons why. They just do or don't and that is enough for them.
For most of these people, their artistic abilities are limited to the graffiti they scratch into the walls of restsrooms or the spraypaint they apply to walls and signs and the sides of boxcars. For some, there are only the jokes they have picked up somewhere and repeat at will. For many, their artistic abilities are limited to their slander of others.

Are all police corrupt? No, but many of them are, as long as they know they can get away with being so. Many are biased and opinionated and do not treat everyone with equality. They do not know the laws they are hired to enforce. I have encountered such policeman during my many years. I have been pulled over just because of what I was driving. I have been insulted because of the way I dressed. I have grown up mistrusting the police and yet I have donated many times to their respective charities. Some police steal, especially when they have a chance to enter your home for some reason. They influence coroners when there are some incidents that may involve police brutality or unwarranted actions by the police.
There are dirty cops that live off of payments from drug-lords and steal from police evidence rooms. There are those that pocket cash when they discover it when they "bust" criminals. Do you trust the police? I cannot. There are those that leak information to certain people just to defame the character of persons they do not like. Do you trust all the police? You should not.

Perhaps one should say instead, "lower than snake feces".
Those who torched and bombed churches in the south during the desegregation struggles, and those like the coward that shot Medgar Evers, are not unlike my neighbors. Rednecks that use dope are often categorized as "good-ole-boys". I see nothing good in them. One can only ignore them and wait for the bad karma to turn on them.

It is a fact that the word, "nigger" offends most black persons. I can understand that as I know the word means to most of them a derogatory term used by rude whites from the times of early slavery. It is obviously a slang term coined after the word, Niger. However, there are many of us today that use the word to mean something different than an abusive word for black persons. As the south advocated slavery and fought a great war for their determination to keep slaves, they lost their war and their rights to keep slaves. Many were bitter in the south and continued to abuse blacks. Some still do. Blacks knew little real freedom and equality in the north either and the word was used widely there as well. The fact is, because of the mistreatment of blacks by bitter people, by ignorant and prejudiced whites, and even by biased members of our government, the word assumed a new meaning for many people. It became a derogatory word for trash, whether that trash was white, black or in between, whether that trash was northern, southern, foreign or domestic. To many of us today, the word may be used to mean skinheads, member of the Klan, lowlife trash of any color.
In Twain's books, the word was used to mean blacks, but not in a way that was meant to be derogatory by Twain, but merely a reflection of the times as he saw it. If Mr. Clemens was alive today, I am certain he would be one of the first that the word has a value in a much different way that it did a hundred years ago. the meaning of words change through the years, usually for the worst, but not always for the worst. One should always consider the source when they see or hear certain words.

Do not assume your religious beliefs are the only righteous ones until God has judged you.
The right to love, to pursue happiness, and to live in safety are those freedoms that everyone deserves.
Do not be gullible enough to believe that God has spoken to any clerics or other "holy" persons. If God wishes to speak, He will speak to you. There is no chain of command in the relationship.
When your endeared rights are being taken away by government officials or religious authorities, taken action promptly, even at the cost of your lives. Do not wait to lose everything. Another generation follows you.
Teach children truths and not what you simply believe to be true. Fairy tales should be regarded as fairy tales. Children that learn only lies will suffer later on.
Love the earth. We are only borrowing it for a short while.

I suppose most people have lost a friend suddenly and never knew the reason why. I do not mean that a friend died or had to move away, but I mean an acquaintance you thought was a friend just decided not to be your friend any longer. Well, we really do not lose real friends, but we do lose people we liked and we thought were friends. The facts are that these people were never really good friends. They likely felt some animosity toward us from the very beginning. Perhaps envy or jealousy. Many times they listen to lies and gossip from others, things that people say to try to defame someone, and they fall for the lies and gossip because they wish to. They wish to believe them because of their underlying animosity. The irony is that when we lose these so-called "friends", we should feel somewhat low, but instead, often feel relieved soonafter. We then remember those certain signs of animosity that had shown themselves along the way, but because we were dedicated to being a friend, we had overlooked or had ignored them before.
True friends are scarce and at the end of one's life, one is fortunate of he had known enough real friends to count with the fingers of one hand. A dog is often one's best friend and that says a lot about humans.

Ever notice in all those westerns, Gunsmoke and all the rest, that the jails are always with a window in the back of the cell? Not only is there a window, but there are only iron bars between the prisoner and the outside. Ever wonder why a friend of the incarcerated tries to sneak in gun through the front when he could give the prisoner one through the cell window? And what's to keep any angry mob or person from going to the window and shooting the prisoner? Boy, the westerns are surely not the way it really was.

Complaints in Iraq that there is still corruption and not much improvement in the supply of water and electricity. Sorry to say, the corruption is due to the religious aspect. People that are indoctrinated to one religion from a very early age often act out their devotion to that religion rather than follow the essence of it. In the USA, where there are many religions to choose from, one may reject one and prefer another or choose none at all, but they may still choose to follow the essence of what a religion stands for; honesty, treating others well, resisting evil temptation, not stealing, not killing others, and in general, loving what this earth has provided for us all. Where there is one predominant religion and many peers to constantly observe a person, the act of praying becomes a ritual instead of a real devoted effort to communicate with a diety. There may be very little emphasis placed on honesty, loving all people, and respecting others' rights. The fact is that if there is little respect for others' beliefs, especially religious beliefs, then there is often very little respect for many others at all. Loyalty to one's tribe or family becomes much more important than other things. It becomes a matter of, "If we can get away with it, let's do it."
So, blame the clerics and those who force one religion upon young people from the start, Clerics are often the most evil of the lot, the most power-hungry and the most dishonest. Their occupation was not appointed by God remember, but was their choice. Their primary goals are to promote Islam, to gain power, and to hold their positions of power and influence. They turn a blind eye to cruelty and murder and often promote them as well. That is true for most Islamic states. DO you not see that there are constant rivalries around you and have been for hundreds of years? Is this what you want when you seek peace? Look at all religions and pick the best and most humanitarian aspects of each. Live by those and perhaps others will follow your lead. Real holy men choose love over hate, love of others, love of this earth, love for creation. Beware of those that choose hate as part of their teaching.

One might have once viewed Kadaffi as a big man in his country, but now we see him as little man that cannot admit his defeat and refuses to step down. We have seen this in Iran as well and in Africa. One does not know the real man until the man is face to face with losing. It is then we may see his real size.
Gadaffi's son spoke to say, "We live here, we die here." So? I see no reason why they should not still live in Libya or die in Libya. That still does not explain why Gadhafi did not step down as requested by the majority or why he still insists on defiance.

Much of our nation's problems was derived through greed, greed of the rich and even the greed of the workers. Unions started with good intentions and beneficial rewards for the workers, but as time went on, the workers wanted more and more money. Why? Because they saw how much profit was being made by the companies, companies that continued to increase their profits to make up for the increased money they had to pay out for their workers. Lawyers specializing in frivolous lawsuits raise insurance rates and ultimately raise the prices pharmaceutical companies, doctors, and hospitals charge. They had to keep up their almighty profits and then some. Greed! People who made more than enough money to have a good life wanted more because they spent themselves into trouble with thier credit cards. They dug themselves a hole of debt. Is seems a constant battle for making more and more money, more than anyone needs to be happy. Always more and more. When the profit margin for big companies seemed inadequate, even though it was not, many companies went to foreign lands where the labor was cheaper and the taxes were lower. Greed of the government by taxation and greed of the manufacturers for excessive profits. Greed by the workers to make more and more because they could not budget their money properly. Then comes the freeloaders who live of the government policies that were intended to help people in dire circumstances. Over 60% of the people living off the government are not in dire circumstances at all. Some are nothing but drug addicts and some are the managers of baby-mills. Some are in real need because of their handicaps, but many are not handicapped enough to warrant government help. Again, there are special lawyers that make their fortunes ripping off the government to make certain that unqualified people get on the government-handout wagon.
If everyone would charge fair prices for their labor and their produce and the government would stop wasting money through silly programs, we might succeed yet.
Social security and medicare is being ripped off each day by greedy and dishonest people and their doctors.
How can anyone justify several millions dollars a year for people who play football, basketball or baseball when those jobs are not vital to the USA. Neither are actors' jobs vital to the US. People become addicted to watching sports and television and would be a little unhappy of they could not, but there are people in our society that work, really work at jobs that are vital to the USA, vital to everyone, and yet many of them are stuggling to make ends meet. Money can literally buy one's way into important polital positions. That wrong. The major television stations clean up on that. With all the millions that subscribe to satellite, one would think the prices for it would go down, but they do not. CEOs that sit and do nothing most of the time may collect several million each year for doing nothing. Things are way out of balance and the American way has taken a turn for the worse somewhere along the line. For each good change that is made, there are two or three bad ones made to make things worse. It may be all about money in our capitalist society, but it is mostly about greed, unfair practices that may be legal but are surely not proper. The problems started at the level of the individual, each of us, and the solution will need to start with the individual, each of us.

My message to certain minority of the followers of Islam
You Muslims that insist that God is some sort of tyrant, some vengeful monster that loves to kill anyone that might doubt the K'ran or some cleric's translation of it, are wrong. You act as if God has no ability to do anything for himself, that you must do his work for him. Blasphemy is a privilege that you have no right to regulate and yet you punish those who blaspheme, often by death. Did you ever think about who would benefit more by murder and by destruction of what God has created? Would it be Almighty God or Satan? It would be Satan. God seems to be letting Satan have his way at this point in time and those who murder for any reason, following their chosen religious beliefs or any other reason are helping Satan, not God. Is that what you wish? It seems so. DO you not see that if Almighty God has any wish to kill non-believers, he could do so any time he wishes. He does not need some self-righteuos radical to do it! Wake up! My words are blasphemy to some, but then the truth is often seen as blasphemy by those who have been blinded by lies. Galileo truths were considered blasphemy when he stated that the earth moved around the sun.
The fact is, you who hold the vile aspects of Islam to heart are not doing so for Almighty God, but for Satan. To you, God is no longer capable, but merely a name that you speak before committing vile acts of murder. To you who murder, Almighty God is no longer almighty, but merely an old vengeful, selfish, jealous thug that you envision when you think about him.
We must be thankful that all that follow Islam are not such fools and do have consciences and the wisdom to see that murder, suicide, hate and tyranny are not part of The God's plan but are the hallmarks of evil and Satan.

It would seem that there are many radicals among you that would rather follow these below:
1. There is only one God and his name is Allah.

4. Remember the seventh day of rest as I had rested on the seventh day. (unless your in the act of killing people).
5. Do whatever you father and mother tell you, even when they lie to you and try to corrupt you. They are more important than any truth or any other humans.
6. Only murder when you feel like it and you think you have a good reason.
7. Commit adultery only when you are sure you will not be caught. Stone women to death even if they have been raped. Men are superior.
8. Steal only from others who have more than you. 9. Blame others whenever you can even if they are not guilty. It can make you feel superior to them.
10. Do not be envious of others for what they have, their house, their wife, or their freedom. You can take it all away from them when you get the chance.

Throughout the middle east, there are many who are fighting tyranny and fighting for freedom for themselves and freedom for their friends and neighbors. They are wishing for a democratic system where they can vote to make the decisions about how their countries are ran. Some are dying in the process of helping others and NOT for killing a Christian or murdering a Jew or bombing a school full of children. They are fighting and dying for a righteous cause and for the first time, many Muslims may know and witness real martyrs. A martyr dies for the good and well-being of another, a Godly deed. One who gives up his life to perpetuate hatred, to reek vengeance, to murder or even for some verse in a book, is NO martyr.
Many soldiers have thrown themselves onto grenades to save others that would have been hurt or killed by the explosion. They are martyrs. Many radical followers of Islam have killed themsleves and others with suicidal explosions. They are not martyrs.

I find it quite ironic, or actually hypocritical, that a website named Sharia4america.com is calling pedophilia one the greatest sins on their "ticker tape" messages, when many of the middle-eastern countries and states are where the bad type of pedophilia is predominant. First of all, the word, pedophilia, does not automatically mean abuse of children as I have discussed before. There is an alternative meaning of the word that does, but originally the word means, "love of children", and all people should. We can assume that the pro-Shari'ah website is using the popular and best-loved evil meaning of the word. Though the website is obviously an American website that is ran by radical or fundamentalist Muslims, they had better look in their own backyward, from wherever they came, first. The right of "free speech" is often used by those who would prefer no one had it. The freedom we have here in the USA is precisely what the radicals use to try and ruin the US and the freedom for which it stands. Be aware of that.

It has been rumored that the US government has spent millions restoring mosques, mostly in other countries such as Egypt. It it surely not true that the government woulk resort to such "kiss-ass" projects with the tax money of the US citizens, especially when the economy struggles and there are good people here that need money. Surely the ACLU would raise hell since such an action would be considered against the policy of "The separation of church and state". After all, the US government does nothing to restore the churches here in the US, many of which had been bombed or burned by evil bigots in our southern states.
Like most rumors, this one is likely all "bull", but if it were to prove true, our citizens should be up at arms about it.
Supporting certain muslims that hate the US, that hate our way of life, that hate democracy, would not be the wisest move the government has made recently. It certainly would not be the dumbest move either. One cannot buy respect from anyone, nor can a government buy respect from other countries. If the world does not respect us for all we have done to help devastated peoples, it will never love us. The blood-lust for many so-called religious leaders is too strong. Whenever inncocent persons are killed accidently by Nato or by US friendly fire, blame is violently heavy and aimed at the US. Is not God really the one to blame? If it were not His will, would He not allow it?
When the Taliban or similar radical militant forces kill innocent victims, many times with full intent, do we see protestors standing with signs reading "Death to the taliban" or "Death to al-Qaeda"? No. We only see signs such as "Death to America" or " Islam will dominate the world" or "Kill those 'who tell the truth'". (This last one may never be seen, but that is the true meaning of the real sign that has been used). This is all due to bigotry, envy and hatred. It may be allowed by God, but it is not at all of God or godly. Quite the opposite.

March 5, 2011. Martinsville, IN. It was the scene of news publications left at some homes this weekend. They seem to be those printed by the KKK and are known as "The Crusader". Martinsville has long been known for the presence of the KKK there, but things have been relatively calm there before these papers appeared. So far, nothing had developed since either. The printing of these racist papers is protected by our right of free Speech, as is my right to think of the KKK as a bunch of ignorant thugs, not much different than any other hate groups such as al-Qaeda or the many Muslim-associated hate groups.
I often think all the people that form these many gate groups ought to be thrown into an arena to fight it out to their deaths as an entertainment for the rest of us. Dog-fighting as a sport I am against, hate-monger fighting as a sport is a different thing. I am all for it. Can't we imagine this, "TODAY, RIGHT HERE IN THIS VERY ARENA, FIVE AL-QAEDA MEMBERS vs. FIVE MEMBERS OF THE KKK! IN A BATTLE TO THE DEATH. THE WINNERS SHALL LIVE TO FIGHT AGAIN NEXT WEEK"? When there are those whose only respect for life is a respect for their own pitiful lives, perhaps they do not deserve living at all.

The very fact that Venezuela's Chavez spoke out in favor of Kadaffi and his regime tells you what kind of regimes both have. Birds of a feather, you know. "We will live and die here," both Kadaffi and his had son said, and now that he has decided to perhaps step down from power, they wish to leave Libya and wish not to be tried for any crimes. Where does he plan to live? Perhaps Venezuela? Evil usually plots with evil. Remember Cuba and the Soviet Union and the missiles set up in Cuba?

India may now be restricting free speech on internet blogs. What in the world is going on? Are police states becoming the new trend? Are governments so afraid of the truth that they are taking such actions of limiting free speech?

I am all for those who fight and are willing to die for their freedom and for the freedom of others. It is a noble effort indeed and those who are dedicated to liberty and freedom are highly respected here in the uSA and in France and England. The trouble is this. The US and many allies that fought for liberties in Iraq have been hated by many in the middle-east ever since we crossed over into Iraq. There are those who hate us for going into Afghanistan. Now, we are reluctant to do anything in Libya or any other country where protests and fighting for freedom is occurring. Although there are many many Muslims that are loyal to democracy and do not hate westerners or those who are not of Islam, there are too many that do. Al-qaeda has several websites that try to recruit US Muslims into radical Islam for the purpose of jihads.
Who can blame the US for being reluctant and even over-cautious about committing troops, aircraft or high-tech weapons to Libya or others nearby?
The USA and its allies have been scrutinized, ridiculed, punished and hated for their efforts to help others in brutal and unjust regimes, many in the middle-east. We may now be hated for not doing enough to help. There's always some contrived justification for hatred.

He said that America had to be destroyed also. What a jerk! Religions that followed the beginnings of Christianity were actually copycat religions with their people's own changes added or subtracted. All have changed beyond recognition anyway. People love their own religions. Too bad they do not love all people and the earth as much. That is what any decent God intended for them to do.

I still hear what some of my Muslim friends are saying, that the terrorists are "not of Islam". There are very basic facts that are evident though. First, those same terrorists face Mecca each morning to pray. Even those who hold up signs that read "kill those who insult Islam" and "Death to America" are also praying each morning toward Mecca. As I have said before, Islam is a very fragmented religion with many facets and many tribes among those believers, all with their own notions of right and wrong. Why do most terrorists yell, "Allah akbar!" before they murder? Is it because they are followers of Islam or is it merely because they have seen so much killing, murder, destruction, corruption throughout their lives that they must constantly try to convince themselves that "God is really good"? They address God by the name they know for God. It would seem that my Muslim friends would wish me to believe that true followers of Islam are good and peace-loving. What percentage is that?
I know that Christianity is also fragmented, as may be other religions. There are Baptists, Evangelists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, and many others here in the US and abroad and yet one does not see Baptists killing Evangelists. Seventh Day Aventists do not murder Mormoms because they think differently. There are no tribal wars or conflicts between the various sects of Christianity here. Even if one is an atheist or an agnostic, he is not sought out for persecution. It seems the burning of churhes, the hatred for Jews and Christians, the persecution of non-Islamic religious folk is rather confined to those who face Mecca and pray each morning. Is that not so?
There are some radical factions of Chritianity here in the US also, but they are very few. They have been responsible for many deaths because of their biggoted ideals and the false notions of their supremacy. Mostly this is color and race-related. Many members of these radical sects have died from their own hands or from the direct actions of their leaders. They were freak incidents and are rare. Such radical sects are not condoned by the majority in the US, but some are tolerated somewhat as long as they obey the laws. The KKK think of themselves as the "voice of Christianity", but they are only biggots who find it easier and less scary to hate than to love.
It should be the goal for all good people, of Islam or not, to report dangerous radicals who would resort to violence, who would murder others because of their demented beliefs and their hatred. It makes no difference whether those people are religious leaders, clerics, Imams, or followers of them. There may be a day then when one can say, Islam means "peace" and it will be believed.

There are solutions to our energy problems and yet a President and more than a few Congresses have ignored them, merely passing along the problem to the next people.
It seems that some important people worry more about a few animals than they do our energy problems. They worry about the bears perhaps. Alaska has had its share of natural disasters and has recovered very well. Oil extraction can be done with very minimal harm, not the way some had been done in the past. There are quite a few bears and many are suffering or will suffer more from global warming than from any oil wells. Polar bears are among them. Other bears such as black, brown and grizzly are doing fine. In Indiana, there are so many of certain animals that there are hunting seasons on them to reduce their populations. My neighbor loves to kill things and hurt things, but there are many of us that do not, including many oil men.

Through all the devastation that Japan's people are enduring today, the earthquakes, the aftershocks, the tsunamis, and the threat from the nuclear power plant, the people are braving it very well. Have you noticed that there are no reports of looting? Did you see the footage of the inside of the store during the initial quake? The people inside were actually calm enough the level-headed enough to hold on to one of the shelves of bottles, etc, to keep it from tipping over. It speaks well for the Japanese people. You may give donations here, to the Red Cross, where I have donated. Rest assured, your money will be used to help Japan in its hour of need.
Japan will recover and will be better than ever in years to come. The people of this earth are banding together to help each other.

The future of nuclear reactors seems to hinge on the outcome of the damaged on in Japan, but many scientists are convinced that there will be no explosion or massive death as a result of that damage. Precautions are always wise and precautions are being taken. We learn from our mistakes, as we have learned in the past about dams, about aircraft, about rocketry and space travel, and even about some medicines that had devastating affects on children and adults. We learn to make things safer as a result of finding the flaws. I am buying uranium stocks that have fallen in price. I am buying stocks in companies that build reactors, (AEHI) Alternate Energy Hldg Inc for one. Trading now at 0.13 and it may go lower for a while, if so, I will load up more shares. Nuclear energy is just as safe as the fossil fuels that pollute our earth and our air and water daily. Everyone might come to realize that in time. I am also investing in other green stocks, wind, solar and geothermal. (HTM) (WNDEF) (STP) and (NENE) are among my faves. Hydrogen is the ultimate answer for autos, but electric is also okay.
General Motors realizes this already, but its new electric-powered vehicle will suffice until the hydrogen-powered one replaces it.

One cannot help but worry when Russia's official reaction to the coalition's attacks on targets in Libya. One cannot help but wonder regarding the prophesies of Revelations, the translation by some religious leaders that the third world war would be between Russia, its allies and the western world with it allies. Is this the beginning of the end and is there some correlation between this and the Mayan calendar which does not go beyond the year 2012? We are all in it together if this is the end of life as we know it and perhaps that's the only positive thought one can have now. Men have had thousands of years to learn to get along, to respect the rights that all humans should have and yet they have not learned in all that time. There are always the greedy, the power-hungry, the evil, the tyrants, the vindictive, and those who are envious of others. Perhaps it is time for the end to come and the time to find what really comes afterward. As with other wars in the middle east, insurgents will pour into Libya and prolong the battles into a full-scale event that will cost heavily. Is there a chance that there are so many middle-easterners wanting freedom that it will be otherwise? The very words of Gadaffi, using "crusaders" in his rhetoric is meant only to recruit insurgents from among Muslims, but is the desire for freedom stronger than the hate for the US? Libya may have changed, but when the US was fighting in Iraq, thousands of anti-American men came from Libya as insurgents bent on becoming "martyrs" and killing infidels. Many sided with the hateful al Qaeda agenda. What will happen this time? Will the people finally realize that we are there to help them obtain the freedom they seem to desire? Is all this rivalry predestined to happen?

The Gadaffi supporters are not above using citizens, including children, for shields as the attacks by coalition forces continue. Civilians are not targeted, but are in danger and they must be aware of that fact.

Do Gadafii and his sons speak any truth about what is happening in Libya. They seem to say they are only fighting terrorists in an effort to help their people. Many people wanted Gadaffi to step down because of the tyranny he had imposed for too long. The people spoke of freedom and wished the west to come to their rescue. Now that we are there, along with other coalition forces, we are again portrayed by Gadaffi as "crusaders". He deliberately plays on the deep-rooted religious convictions of the young Muslims to recruit blind help for his own agenda. He stated that this is a war that will last for a very long time and that he and Libya can afford it whereas the US cannot. Who is being deceived here? Who are the liars? I would bet that the great deceivers here are Gadaffi and his shiek son. If Gadaffi does not step down very soon, the coalition forces should not hesitate from using more force. This time the people of Libya, the majority if them asked us for help. We came, we saw, we helped and the rest will be up to the people. We should stay as we did in Iraq. There are so many gullible young men in the middle east, they would rush to the war zone to help fight for tyranny.
What are the Russians thinking? I can imagine. "The US made it very hard, impossible, for us to win in Afghanistan, so we are certainly not going to help them here. We may help the opposition instead," could be similar to what they may be thinking. China was just as guilty as Gadaffi when it came to handling protests. China has no right to criticize then, either way. Only the free world will help the people try and gain freedom and human rights.

In the years of the flintlock and the early cap and ball firearms, one man had at least an even chance of winning a battle between he and another. If he was up against two others though, his chances were slim unless he had another firearm, perhaps a pistol. He may have had a knife to aid him also. The point is that firearms then fired only one round and then one must reload. During that time, a man was most vulnerable and if his opponents outnumbered him. He stood a very little chance for victory.
With today's weapons, one man can stand off several opponents, whether from a long distance with a good sniper rifle or from a closer distance with an automatic or semi-automatic rifle. It is just a reminder of how difficult it was to survive in the days of men such as Daniel Boone.

As protests spread in many regimes in the middle east, the US and allies do what the Arab League, the people of Libya and several members of the League of Nations wished. We are creating a "no-fly" zone and knocking out defences that might be dangerous to the people of Libya. As I had predicted, human shields are being used by the pro-Gadaffi forces. The other countries that are now protesting against their regimes and asking for their harsh leaders to step down from power should know that the US cannot help them all. Some will need to be on their own, although we hope they all succeed in their endeavors. Our forces would be spread too thin of we helped everyone and the cost would be devastating as well. As some countries in the middle east gain their freedom and establish their democracy, they can help the others, their neighbors that need help.

They simply think they do and follow the lead of someone else who knows no more than they do. Their "sky is falling" attitudes and their "doom and gloom" all can affect the markets, Ine sayd "buy gold" and another states, "SELL GOLD NOW!". When you buy, buy for the long term and forget the analysts. Most only want to send you messages so they may "pump and dump" stocks abd leave you hanging. Most analysts are hardly smart enough to tie their shoes, so they buy slip-ons. It is a matter of luck if they happened to gain or perhaps they did not listen to their own advice. Watch Warren Buffet and see what he's buying.

In Texas, a Muslim association bought land adjacent to a man's pig farm. They intended to build another mosque, one of about 50 in the area already. After their purchase, they requested the man move away or move his pigs away as they were offensive. He refused, knowing the Muslims knew of his pigs before they purchased the land. One of the head Muslims called him a liar before many at a meeting. Now, the man holds pig races on certain days of the week.
I must side with the farmer on this one. The Muslims knew of the pigs but went ahead with their purchase. I have been living on my place for many years. It was adjacent to pig farmers then and it is still adjacent to the same farmers after all these years. The 4-legged pigs are gone, but the 2-legged pigs still live there and I must tolerate them and their s___t. MY suggestion to those particular brazen Muslims is to sell out and move or suck it in or learn and adopt something from the New Testament of the Holy Bible. Solomon did not fly around like a bird and pigs are quite okay with God now. He created them, did He not?

Iran will definitely try to highjack the peoples' movement for more freedom and better conditions in Libya and in other countries also. Iran's leaders are always cunning and coniving in such matters. They use their wealth for covert actions in surrounding countries, supplying weapons, insurgents and propaganda for their agenda against Israel and the west. They will likely do the same for years. Instead of helping their own people, they are intent on interfering in others' business and remain defiant to the majority of the free world. Democracy in Iran does not mean democracy at all. Free elections are not honest. They are only as honest as the leaders of Iran, which says it all. There will come a day when we must deal with Iran's leadership without detriment to the people and that will be most difficult. It is hopeful that the people will make the changes in Iran before that time arrives. The peoples' revolution will cost heavily with many lives, but it will be their choice as with all successful revolutions that strive for freedom from tyranny. Revolutions often succeed, but some end up with a more restrictive regime replacing the preceding one, as with Cuba.
Iran's relationship with other regimes in the world give Iran's leaders a feeling of comradery and a sense of brevity, although such alliances are relatively weak.

CDs vs. vinyl and other records.
Although most of the world has turned to CDs instead of records ( 78s, 45s, albums, etc.), I must say I cannot understand it all. I cannot cherish a CD as I can a record album. There is something about a CD that is lacking. They are convenient and small and they can hold many songs. There music is sharp and as perfect as one would wish. Maybe too perfect. To me they do not have the personality or the character that records have. They have their use, but give me vinyl over CDs any day. As an audiophile with over 10,000 records, I have only 20 music CDs. I have those 20 only because I cannot find the same music on vinyl.

Where were the police?
Someone stole an ambulance in Indiana. He drove along the highway with the lights flashing... pursued closely by the police...over 10 police cars in that parade, nearly all Indiana State police! As if a couple could not handle the situation, all wanted to get in the action. The thief/driver of the ambulance was collared by the sufficient lot, but had to be tasered in the process.

I was watching my wonderful dog yesterday as she gingerly rose from her resting place, hurting and sore from arthritis in her hind legs. I realized then that compassion wasa human quality and that the guardian spirits about which people speak did not seem to have compassion. Not all humans have it either, but one would think that good spirits would have it and would help good animals and good people that are in need.
It seems ironic that we as humans are expected to have and show compassion while those spirits that expect it of us do not show it.

According to The New York Times, last year General Electric (GE) made over $14.2 billion in profit, but paid NO federal tax. None.
Now GE is slashing health benefits and retirement benefits for new employees among non-union workers and is expected to push unions to accept similar cutbacks, while its CEO, Jeff Immelt, gets a 100% pay raise.
What's worse? Immelt now sits as chair of the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness (Jobs Council), representing corporate America to the President on matters like job creation and corporate taxation. That's a slap in the face to every hardworking, tax-paying American—especially GE employees.
Is this what democracy is and what we are to show the world of how it works?

Is it that they are so hateful that they cannot think or is it they are just plain ignorant idiots or a combination of things? Muslims killed several people, mostly NATO members, in Afghanistan because someone in Florida burned a book! The book was just a book, a copy of the Holy K'ran and not the original K'ran and yet these people were so mad that they murdered, and those they murdered had nothing to do with the burning of the book. It is like someone being bitten by a wolf and sympathetic fools begin a rampage to kill every dog they see for revenge. No wonder people fear and distruct Muslims! If they were all like that, there is reason to distrust them and even fear them. Fortunately, they are not all that way. Some have consciences and hearts of gold and minds that do not merely think of hatred and revenge. Too bad, the good ones cannot weed out the rotten ones. If someone burns a copy of the Holy Bible, I assure you that Americans are not going to go on a muderous rampage. There are many copies left. We are not here for endless hatred and vengeance and we trust our God to do justice for us. Why do some Muslims think God is so incapable of doing for Himself? Mankind is here to borrow the earth for a short while, to care for all things upon it, which means other members of mankind also.
It may take another 1000 years before some peoples learn to adapt and think for themselves, but we may not have that long. If God chooses to destroy mankind soon, I know most of the reasons why, the majority in the middle-east. How could He even tolerate some of the ridiculous evil "religious-related" acts this long?
There are so many Muslims that are missing the whole point of what religion, even their own religion, stands for and what an omnipotent God intended when He created us. Instead, they would rather defend their books and the name of their religion and defy humankind and The God as well in the process. When one really believes he is right about something, he does not need to try and kill everyone that disagrees with him. He may stand by what he believes and has faith that it is the proper choice. Who cares if others do not think the same way? One may burn all the symbolism of my faith they wish to. It changes nothing! Yet, some Muslims that profess to follow Islam, are willing to kill others for the weakest and silliest of reasons and disobey God's commandments when they do so. What a fragmented set of ideals! It is because that so many were taught wrongly by clerics who have their own agendas and their own varied translations of what is in the K'ran. Imams that really know very little truth teach and guide others so they shall know very little also and so ignorance is perpetuated. It is the same with so-called Christian sects that would burn a K'ran. Too bad that all cannot learn and follow The Golden Rule. For a prophet, Jesus of Nazareth was a very wise person indeed. From his time on, others have felt the compulsion to emulate him, but none has ever succeeded.
The truth is that too many religious people simply use their religion as a facade. By doing so, they save face with their peers, relatives, friends and clerics. They use their religion as some sort of weapon against opponents or those who seem to threaten, where their faith in God is all that they really needed. They do not see their actions as hypocrisy, but the One who will finally judge them sees it very will.

Our congressmen sit on their thumbs and do nothing about our energy needs here in America. Yes, some government incentive$ have been given to certain people for encouraging research along these lines, but actually there are already solutions ready to use NOW. Sea-water to produce hydrogen=clean water, wind power (STP), solar power (symbol: NENED) and of course, nuclear, which needs further research for safe use and for fusion reactors. There are more places where water can be used to make energy, just as Hoover Dam does now. There is great potential for geo-thermal energy (HTM). Why are we not relygng on all these for at least 80% of our power? Perhaps there is no money to be made by those now running the show.

Congress sets a marvelous example for the American way, hours before our government will shut down. Not too much different than the impasses of tribes and sects in the middle-east, they argue, they rage, and they stick to their own agendas. No violence as in the middle-east, but their actions are a poor illustration for the world to view. This is not the normal American way. Our system seems to have devolved a bit over the last twenty years as interpretations of our constitution have changed as well. When will we get back to what this country really was meant to be? It was founded on a much better foundation that it has now as true patriots know.
Money can buy someone into office now, nearly any one. If the government shuts down at midnight, the members of Congress still collect their pay. That MUST CHANGE! No wonder there is no incentive to do what is good for the country. It's all about the pockets of those in office.
Obama has done all the paperwork to run for office again, to collect huge amounts of money to pay for ads, travel, and to get re-elected. That is money that our country could use for better purposes. Who will benefit? Those who own the media will. Those who lobby will. The people will likely not.

As we all watch the news of protests in the middle-east and the changes about to happen, we surely all are curious as to whether or not they will be for the better. The must be better for all mankind to be worth the efforts and the loss of life. If they lead to changes that are better for the common people, that would be fine, but they also must help to eliminate hatred, to lessen suspicion, to quell violence, to end corruption and malice as well as tyranny. The changes must be better for all the people of the world to be better for any. The trouble in the first place was that many countries on the middle-east were for the betterment of the few and not the many. Dictatorships are known for this negative aspects. Democracy itself is not immune to power-mongers, greed, and corruption, yet it does allow for changes by the people and for the people when they are needed. That is assuming they are true democracies and not those as some middle-eastern countries adopted.
Even on the USA, there is no guarantee that corruption and greed will not infiltrate the system at some times. The people, because of our Constitution and our determination of the people, will takes steps to rectify problems in our government when they become intolerable.
There is a word! Intolerable. That is one more thing that must be addressed by the middle-east. Where so many seem to tolerate tyranny for so long, but cannot seem to tolerate people of other faiths, or people of other sects or tribes. Their fear of others to so great that hatred is born from their fear. They must learn to tolerate others and to respect the rights of others to be different.
We can only hope for wisdom in the midst of prejudice, for love in the midst of hatred and for respect of The God's commandments rather than a mere respect for one's chosen religion. Then the changes will be well worth the cost.
It becomes more apparent each pasing day that people in the middle-east are realizing they are being duped by their leaders and many of their clerics as well. Too often, the leaders and the clerics are one and the same, It was for this reason that the US constitutuion made separate the church and the state. That was not meant to deprive people of their rights to choose their faith and to worship as they please.
The ACLU and others take the interpretation of "separation of church and state" too far, too often. This is another pitfall of Democracy, but it should not be. Judges chosen for their fairness and wisdom should rein in extremists such as the ACLU. In time, perhaps they shall.

What's this about calling for a "no-fly" zone in Gaza? Is this to stop Isreali planes or to stop the rocket attacks on Isreal or both? As long as there are attempts, indiscriminant as they are, to kill Isrealis by constant rocket attacks, the Isreali planes should be able to attack those responsible. Should NATO initiate a "no-fly" zone above Gaza, it better mean an end to the Hamas attacks against Israel and the tunneling as well. If it does not end, NATA has the right to attack either party in defense. This could mean peace, but it could mean an escalation of the conflict. It would likely end up being an allied war against Hamas. Is that what the Arab League wishes?

Iran is a country that is ran by a religion/government. It may be termed as some sort of democracy, but all know it is not. A democracy is "of the people, by the people and for the people". Iran's government is "of the leaders, by the leaders and for the leaders", some of which are religious monarchs. Furthermore, these so-called religious leaders do not serve God, but serve themselves in the name of their religion. They love their religion, and not God. They seem not to fear God either. Murder never serves God, lying to the people and even the children and sending those children to their deaths in a war does not serve God. Intolerance of others does not serve God. Condemning people to death for being defiant or different does not serve God. There must be separation between religion and government to have a decent and real democracy. People have the right not to believe in a god at all, and especially to not believe in The God of the majority. They also have the right to believe in that god if they wish. If they are threatened with death and only forced to be of a certain religion because of those threats, they are not serving God either. Many are only playing the part they are expected to play. Otherwise, they may be stoned or hung to death. Does anyone think God appreciates forcing someone to pray to Him? Does anyone really believe that God appreciates people murdering others in His name? He does not appreciate it. He condemns murder for any reason, even if it is called "jihad" or whatever other name one chooses to try and justify it. One only needs to follow the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule and they will be following a righteous path, one that The God would condone.

We are in great debt as a nation, mostly due to defense spending, military personell and weapons because of our many conflicts across the globe. The terrorists may have planned that all along, knowing the USA would not tolerate threats even if they were half across the world. It is time to spend less on war somewhere else in the world. It is time to cash in on the billions of dollars worth of out-dayed equipment setting idle in an aircraft junkyard. It is time to defend our nation from evil right here at home. Talk of cutting spending in many things has been in the news, when we should be cutting spending on weaponry. We cannot afford to police the world as we are doing at this time.

I know a very immature man with a very immature wife, assuming they are really married, that posts signs in his yard when he is pissed off with someone or something. Since he is always pissed off, he always posts signs, very primitive signs with primitive messages. When I asked a psychologist friend about him, he told me that those type people are covering up their own evil acts and thoughts by such behavior. That may be absolutely true. If that were treu, The God must be a very complacent spirit indeed and we, mankind, must be here for mere entertainment. In the world of Islam, it appears, one may do anything one wishes asong as it appears to be according to one's interpretation of The "holy" K'ran. Interpretation is the keyword and that may include just about everything imaginable.
Peace? Does anyone remember what that is? That seems to have devolved into a word meaning "no longer living".

Simply isolate yourself for a while and live like a hermit, perhaps in a cave or similar place. While you are there, redo and rethink all you have heard about the stories of God, of a flood that destroyed all but a handful of select people, of animals not to eat, of kings that fly about on magic carpets, and all sorts of folktales you remember. Then, return to civilization and your people and tell them that God has chosen you to tell them the real truth about things. Then, start telling them. You need not even know how to write. Someone will write things down for you. What they write may not be quite accurate, but it will do. One could start a whole new religious culture by doing this and it could spread all over the world, even to Michigan and London.
Why be satisfied with some religious ideals that someone you do not like has? You can create your own version.

I wonder if he even knows his name. Gold climbed above $1500/oz since his wise announcement to all his gullible readers. As his readers sold gold and stocks dropped a bit lower, he likely invested a few million in gold stocks. Or just maybe he was honestly in the dark about things.

A man heard the word that if he wished to be perfect, he must give away his possessions to the poor. He did so and then he too was as poor as poor could be. Soon after, others followed him and gave away all that they owned to the poor. Then more and more did likewise until all but one on this earth were poor and that man held all the riches on earth or did he? Since he was not poor, why would anyone give their possessions to him? Where did all of the wealth go? To the poor who then gave away their possessions once again? I wonder how all this could be. When one gives away all he owns and then becomes poor, should not someone give all their possessions to him because he is poor?
It seems I can make little sense of the whole idea. It would seem that to be perfect we must all possess nothing at all, but rags to cover our bodies.

God must have always had the ability to see into the future or could not endow mere men with such abiltty. Then, could not God The Almighty foresee what would happen with Satan? Did He not know that Satan would betray him? He had to know! Why has mankind suffered for that? Why is that men must seek redemption and be born again for the oversight of God? Might not some oversight happen again in the new world that so many strive to reach?

One of greatest vices in our society today is the "frivolous lawsuit". They might make the lawyers filthy rich and often make a few instigators filthy rich, but at what cost? They cost us, the taxpayers, the insured, and even cost the uninsured considerably. Frivolous lawsuits, not only like the one where a woman sued McDonalds for her coffee being too hot, but others such as medical malpractice suits, neighborly disputes, suits for revenge, fake and contrived accident suits, suits filed by stockholders such as those against Advanced Battery (ABAT on the exchange), and others end up making the "filthy" rich and the commoner poorer. In the case of ABAT, it offers not only the instigators to buy the stock at a very low price, but it gives other smart investors a chance to make money also, unlike many other type of lawsuits. Insurance rates rise because of frivolous lawsuits and the doctors must end up paying higher prices for malpractice insurance. Other doctors may raise their prices as well just to keep up with the Dr. Jones'. The cycle goes on and on at the cost of those who are just trying to cope, the people that struggle for a living. Does the government do anything about it? Not so far. Recommendations have been made by certain informed congressmen, but the majority turn blind eyes to the problem. One of the main reasons that Medicare costs are rising is because of the vicious cycle starting with frivoulous lawsuits. Speak out and someday we may be heard, lest we may be sued for being complacent.

We cannot really know what the originators of various religions had in mind when they introduced their newly-conceived ideals to their peers, but many of the religions, as popular as they have become over the world, are not as intended. Some have devolved into sets of ideals that would be unrecognizable to their originators. A few have been altered so much that they are now only about control, control of the people. Those at the top of the chain, the clerics, the politicians in some cases, use religion for controlling the masses, but seldom following what God was supposed to have demanded. Text was conveniently altered for the purpose of politics and control. Translations are twisted for even more control.
One finds this in most religions, but some are notorious for it, imbedded in the young from their birth and not unlike addiction to a drug, all for control and keeping a homogeneous social mindset.
One may hear that a man must not be rich or he cannot be righteous in the eyes of God and yet another religious leader states quite the opposite, that God want everyone to be rich. "Easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven," was said to have been the message of Jesus. Why then to some state that "religion can make one rich"? They are meaning monetarily-rich by the way. Perhaps it is because religion has made them rich as some TV evangelists have gained great wealth. They may be justifying their own gains by their questionable message. It remains a mute subject, needing much much more debate.
The fact remains that no one really knows the truth about God. "I do not know," is the only real truth one can say about God. Anything else is speculation driven by hope, as faith is committing one's self to believing what he or she has been taught about God, the prophets, and the hereafter.
There is nothing wrong with believing if it makes one a better person. When believing makes one a murderer, a hater, or a vengeful person, believing is wrong. It is worng for that person and wrong for the world and surely wrong for any decent spirit that had the power and knowledge to create the universe, the earth, mankind and all other life.

The person that was alledged to have been responsible for distributing that material was arrested for littering. Since the literature was bagged in plastic and contained the usual crap that bigots usually spout, perhaps he should have had charges of 'attempted poisoning' added. Not very long ago, the same KKK crap was discovered having been delivered in Martinsville, Indiana. A few weeks later, an incident in a school resulted in the shooting of a 15 year old boy by another 15 year old boy. Violent talk breeds violent actions. That is the sole purpose of the KKK crap. Bigots who could never cope with life try to bring others down to their level. They could not learn how to raise themselves to the level of the contented and the adjusted.
Although they may negatively influence one person out of thousands, they enlighten the majority of others to their demented values and expose themselves as the mere nothings they are, just another gang like all the rest, but using the Lord's name in vain.
They used to call themselves 100% Americans. Imagine, a handful of mixed breeds, all descendents of foreignors of all colors, trying to position themselves as Americans.
